5th Grade Celebrations

The 5th Grade Celebration Committee is so excited to announce plans for Willard’s traditional 5th grade events.  Please see the below list of items and events which include important dates and deadlines as well as general information.

CLASS T-SHIRTS

5th graders will be receiving t-shirts that are signed by all 5th graders, gifted by the PTG, and worn on Celebration Days.

YEARBOOK

The PTG will provide one Yearbook for each child and will be distributed during the last week of school.

Service Days (May 30)

In collaboration with the 5th grade teachers, 5th graders will participate in a service project supporting organization(s) in the local Concord community.  These projects will occur during the school day on Thursday, May 30th.

5th Grade PARENT SOCIAL (june 7)

Parents of 5th graders are invited to mix and mingle in celebration of your child(ren)'s amazing years at the Willard Elementary School.

Tickets are $25 and include beer/wine and an assortment of fabulous desserts! Please click here to RSVP and purchase tickets.

5th grade POOL Outing (June 10)

Students will enjoy a fun-filled day of activities at Kimball Farm in Westford, MA. Lunch will be provided. Buses will take students to the outing and will return before the end of the school day. Students should wear their 5th grade tee shirts on this day!* More information regarding chaperones will be forthcoming.

CELEBRATION DAY (June 11)

1:30 -3:30PM | Willard Auditorium

Parents are invited to the Willard Auditorium to hear speeches given by each 5th grade student followed by a pictorial slideshow of their years at Willard. Students and families will then head outside to enjoy cake. Students will leave for the day with their parent(s). 5th grade yearbooks will also be given out on this day. Students should wear their 5th grade tee shirts on this day!*

“CLAP-OUT” (last day of school)

Parents will arrive at Willard and line up to "clap-out" their 5th graders as the leave Willard for the last time. Students will parade through the building, and then come out through the side/gymnasium door and parade along the walkway. Parents are asked to arrive no earlier than 12:10. Fifth graders will be dismissed right after the clap-out to their parents or board the bus if applicable.
