Willard Food Drive 2012
The annual Willard School Food Drive begins on Wednesday, March 7th, and runs through Wednesday, March 14th.

As the month of March ushers in the renewed energy of spring, it is also the time of year when the Willard School community takes action to help others in need.
The annual food drive provides much needed donations to the Open Table in Concord. The Open Table is a weekly community supper and pantry program, with more than 20 years service to the Concord community. The Open Table relies heavily upon the Willard Food Drive each spring, as this is a time of year when the abundance of donations typically decline.
Every year, the Willard 5th grade students take a leadership role in running the food drive, while families and students from all grade levels at Willard School take part in learning about the power of generosity and the experience of community service through giving to the food drive each day.
You may send your donations of non-perishable food items and/or personal hygiene products in to the school with your children, beginning on the first day of the food drive. Students will go into each of the classrooms to collect food donations every morning.Specifically, Open Table has informed us that the most needed items include the following: cereal, coffee, tea, cooking oil, condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, salad dressing), canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, canned protein (tuna, stew, chili), and packaged snacks.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!!
