|Date:||Sunday, June 4, 2017|
|Time:||12 – 4 PM|
All proceeds from the Willard Carnival benefit the Willard PTG, making the day a truly rewarding celebration. The carnival would not be possible without the generous support from our sponsors: Emerson Hospital; H. Ivan Orup, Jr., DMD, MMSc, PC;
Fitness Together Concord & Westford locations; Svenfish; and Viking VODS Storage,
as well as dozens of other businesses and local organizations.
A fun filled day is in store for kids of all ages! Get ready to challenge your skills at the LOLLIPOP TOSS, TIN CAN ALLEY, LUCKY DUCKS, LUCKY BUCKETS and HIT THE SPOT. How about trying your luck on the ROULETTE WHEEL, PLINKO or by finding the PIRATE’S LUCKY KEY! Jump high and low on the MOONBOUNCE! Want to get wet? Stop by the all-new HYDROBLASTER or BEAT THE BUCKET. Test your kicking accuracy with GOAL, GOAL, GOAL. Take part in the infamous CAKE WALK and try to win something sweet to bring home.
Want to play more games? How about LEAP FROGS, SKEEBALL, BOWLING, FANTASY FISH, DINO BEAN BAG TOSS or BATTER’S UP. Get your FACE PAINTED, grab a BALLOON ANIMAL, or make a craft with EMERSON UMBRELLA.
You, your family and friends can have a great day filled with excitement at the Willard Carnival!
Each year the raffle helps to raise funds for the PTG and provides an opportunity for children to both sell tickets AND win fabulous prizes. In the past many Willard families have donated sports tickets, gift certificates to their favorite shops, restaurants or museums and of course baked goods!! Another great way to support the raffle is to give items around a theme like sports equipment, a summer basket, or a movie night at home as a neighborhood group or as a class.
If you are interested in supporting the raffle with a donated prize please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The class that sells the most tickets gets a pizza party! And the student that sells the most tickets is treated to a special day at school!
Spare Change jugs are distributed to all students in the hopes of collecting those random pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters that you find lying around your house! When you bring your jug to the Carnival, you’ll receive free game tickets and you’ll be supporting the PTG, so it’s a win-win!
Cake Walk: the sweetest booth!
One of our most popular games at the Carnival! Held in the Willard Cafeteria.
Enter the Cake Decorating Contest! Judging takes place before the Carnival – drop off a decorated cake by 10:00 AM Sunday morning to the cafeteria for a chance to win a Cake Walk Trophy!
Categories may include: Concord, Character Cakes, Current Events, Games, Geography, Healthy Eating/Eating Local, History, Kids’ Books, Music/Movies, Nature, Science/Technology, Seasons, or Sports. Be sure to check the backpack flyer for this year’s categories, along with your official entry form!
Cakes being donated as Cake Walk prizes can be dropped off anytime before or during the event. We hold a Cake Decorating Party on the Friday before the Carnival: cakes, decorating supplies, frosting and encouragement are provided. Decorate cakes and leave the mess behind!
This is Willard’s biggest fundraiser and its success depends completely on volunteers! It is parent participation on the day of the big event that makes the Carnival work!
Sign up for a shift if you are able – It’s fun! We need help at booths, setting up/cleaning up, food sales. Sign up information will be available in May via a Signup Genius distributed by your child’s room parents.
