The Geography Quest is an annual PTG sponsored event designed to let families explore geography together while learning a bit about history and how to use reference tools.
The Quest is centered around a story linking many places around the world. Throughout the written Quest are questions for the students to investigate using materials at home, at school, at the public library and on the Internet.
Participation in completing the Quest is voluntary and takes place over several weeks. The questions are marked to target different grades. Children work on the Geography Quest outside of their classroom time. Remember, this is for FUN! It is not another assignment or a contest. It is intended for students of all ages. Every participant receives a small gift of recognition.
PTG volunteers from all three elementary schools develop a new Geography Quest each year. Volunteers are needed to review the children’s answers.
